The difference between it and a spring is that each round of winding is not circular but triangular, and the triangles between circles are offset by a certain angle. Therefore, it appears as a polygon when viewed from the end face direction. This type of packing has higher efficiency, but compared to θ ring packing, it has higher separation efficiency and slightly higher resistance.
