Honeycomb ceramics regenerator
Classification:Honeycomb ceramic
Keywords:Functional materials \ Honeycomb ceramics regenerator
Product features:Honeycomb ceramic fillers have the advantages of larger specific surface area and better strength compared to other shapes of fillers, which can make the gas-liquid distribution more uniform, reduce bed resistance, achieve better results, and extend service life. They are highly effective as fillers in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and fine chemical industries.

Honeycomb ceramics regenerator

Product Details

Honeycomb ceramics are composed of countless equal pores in various shapes. Currently, the maximum number of pores has reached 120-140 per square centimeter, with a density of 0.3-0.6 grams per cubic centimeter and a water absorption rate of over 20%. Due to the porous and thin-walled characteristics, the geometric surface area of the carrier is greatly increased and the thermal shock resistance is improved. The products produced mainly have triangular and square mesh pores, with triangular pores having much better load-bearing capacity and more pores than square pores. This is particularly important as a catalytic carrier. As the number of pores per unit area increases and the thickness of the carrier pore wall decreases, the thermal shock resistance trend of ceramic carriers increases, and the temperature of thermal shock damage also increases. Therefore, honeycomb ceramics must reduce the coefficient of expansion and increase the number of pores per unit area. The earliest raw materials for producing honeycomb ceramics were mainly kaolin, talc, aluminum powder, clay, etc. Today, breakthroughs have been made, especially in the application of diatomaceous earth, zeolite, expansive soil, and refractory materials. Honeycomb ceramics are increasingly widely used and their performance is getting better and better.

Honeycomb ceramics can be made from various materials. The main materials include: cordierite, mullite, aluminum titanate, activated carbon, silicon carbide, activated alumina, zirconia, silicon nitride, and composite matrices such as cordierite mullite and cordierite aluminum titanate. Honeycomb ceramics can be divided into four categories based on their applications: heat storage materials, fillers, catalyst carriers, and filter materials.
